Good Day Pharmacy will be closed Monday, May 25. A quick checklist so you're not caught short over the long weekend.

Memorial Day has a way of sneaking up on you. One minute it's just another week, and the next it's Friday afternoon and you're realizing you needed a refill three days ago.
So here's your early heads up, with enough time to actually do something about it.
Good Day Pharmacy will be closed on Monday, May 25 in honor of Memorial Day. We're open our normal hours on Saturday, May 23 — so you have a solid window to take care of anything you need before the holiday.
Here's a simple checklist to help you go into the weekend feeling prepared, not scrambling.
1. Check Your Prescription Supply Right Now
Pull out whatever you take regularly and count your pills. Seriously — do it now, not Friday. If you have fewer than 10 days' worth of anything, that's your signal to call for a refill today or tomorrow.
Most maintenance medications — blood pressure, cholesterol, thyroid, diabetes, mental health — can be refilled a few days before you technically run out. If you're not sure whether yours qualifies, just call us. We'll give you a straight answer.
2. Think About Medications That Need to Travel
Heading to a cookout, a camping trip, or a family visit this weekend? Think through which medications need to come with you — and how they need to be stored.
A few things worth checking before you pack:
Temperature-sensitive medications like insulin or certain compounded preparations need to stay cool. A small insulated bag is all it takes on a warm May day.
Controlled substances have specific refill timing rules — don't wait until Sunday evening to think about this one.
As-needed medications like an EpiPen, rescue inhaler, or migraine medication are easy to forget until you suddenly need one. Check your supply now.
3. Stock the Basics for Kids and Pets
Long weekends with kids mean scraped knees, sunburns, and the occasional mystery stomach ache. And pets have a way of eating things they shouldn't during backyard gatherings.
Worth having on hand before Saturday:
Children's pain reliever and fever reducer
Antihistamine (kids' and adult formulas)
Hydrocortisone cream and bandages
Sunscreen — yes, it belongs in a pharmacy, and yes, you probably need more than you think
If your pet takes regular medication, make sure Monday is covered
4. Handle Any Transfers or Insurance Questions This Week
If you've been meaning to transfer a prescription from another pharmacy — or if you have an insurance question sitting on the back burner — this week is the time. Not Monday morning.
We can transfer prescriptions directly from your current pharmacy. All we need is the medication name and your pharmacy's info. Give us a call and we'll take care of the rest.
5. Don't Forget: Local Delivery Is Available Before the Weekend
If getting to the pharmacy is tricky — busy schedule, mobility, or a week that ran away from you — we offer local delivery. You just need to place your order while we're open. If delivery is on your mind, reach out before Sunday.
It's one of the small ways we try to be genuinely useful to people in this community — not just a place to pick up a bag.
6. A Note on Why We Close
We close on Memorial Day because our team members have families, veterans in their lives, and a desire to stop and honor something that deserves to be honored. We're grateful for that.
If you need to reach us on Monday, we'll be back first thing Tuesday morning, May 26. For urgent medication needs that can't wait, your local urgent care or hospital can help.
Come See Us Before the Weekend
Saturday and Sunday we're here, ready to help. Whether it's a refill, a question, or just something you've been meaning to take care of — that's exactly what we're here for.
Stop in, give us a call, before Sunday. Wishing you and yours a safe, peaceful Memorial Day.
