Stock Up Now: Injectable Semaglutide Rules Are Changing—Here’s What You Need to Know

Injectable Semaglutide

We’ve got some important news about injectable Semaglutide—and don’t worry, we’ll break it down in plain English.

If you’ve been using this medication (or thinking about starting), you’ll want to read this before May 22.

Let’s dive in 👇 What’s Going On?

Recently, a federal judge made a decision that’s changing how pharmacies like ours can offer compounded Semaglutide injections (the more affordable version of Ozempic or Wegovy).

Here’s what happened:

✔️ For a while, pharmacies were allowed to make their own version of Semaglutide because of a national shortage.

❌ But the FDA says the shortage is over, so that permission is going away.

⛔ And on April 24, a judge said no to pharmacies asking to keep offering it.

That means starting May 22, pharmacies like Good Day Pharmacy can no longer fill new prescriptions for injectable compounded Semaglutide.

Why This Matters (and Why It Hits Close to Home)

At Good Day Pharmacy, we’ve seen firsthand how much compounded Semaglutide has helped our patients. It’s been a game-changer for weight loss, diabetes management, and overall health

That’s why this change is frustrating—for us and for you.

💙 We’ve been proud to provide a more affordable and accessible option through our compounded version of semaglutide.

💸 But now, many patients may have to turn to brand-name versions like Ozempic or Wegovy, which can cost much more without insurance.

We believe everyone deserves access to medications that improve their health—not just those who can afford steep prices.

That’s why we’re doing everything we can to help you plan ahead, stock up, and explore your options moving forward.

What You Can Still Do Right Now!

Here’s how you can stay ahead of the May 22 deadline:

🗓️ 1. Make Sure Your Prescription Is Dated Before May 22 If it is, we can still fill it—no problem.

📦 2. Stock Up with Up to a 5-Month Supply

Yup, you read that right! We’re offering patients the chance to order up to 5 months of injectable Semaglutide before the rules change.

👉 If you currently fill with us, you'll recieve a text or call with all the details to place your order.

What About After May 22?

Don’t worry—you still have options!

While injectable compounded Semaglutide won’t be available from pharmacies like ours anymore, we’re still able to offer:

Sublingual Semaglutide (taken under your tongue)

Because there’s no commercial version of this form, we’re allowed to continue compounding it—even after May 22. 🎉 And yes, it’s effective!

We’ll have resources and guidance ready for anyone who wants to make the switch.

We're Here for You

This situation isn’t ideal—and it’s frustrating for both patients and independent pharmacies like Good Day Pharmacy.

But you’re not alone. We’re doing everything we can to make this transition as smooth as possible.
