FDA’s New Project Interface: A Step Toward More Personal Cancer Care

Two women warmly embrace, smiling, with one wearing a floral headscarf. They stand outdoors with blurred trees in the background.

At Good Day Pharmacy, we believe your health journey should come with clear information, trusted support, and a whole lot of heart. That’s why we’re sharing news about an exciting initiative from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that could impact cancer patients, caregivers, and advocates alike.

So… what is “Project Interface”?

Project Interface is a brand-new outreach program launched by the FDA’s Oncology Center of Excellence. Its mission? To make cancer care and information more personal, more accessible, and more understandable — especially for patients and caregivers navigating the often-overwhelming world of cancer.

They even have a tagline we love: “Making Cancer Personal at the FDA.”

Why It Matters

Too often, conversations about cancer care happen behind closed doors or in complicated medical jargon. Project Interface aims to change that by listening to patients, engaging with communities, and creating easy-to-understand content about cancer treatments and awareness.

Here’s what they’re doing

Hosting listening sessions with cancer patients, caregivers, and advocacy groups to hear real stories and concerns

Connecting with community organizations and faith-based groups to spread awareness and support across different backgrounds

Publishing information in plain language so people don’t need a medical degree to understand their options

Collaborating globally to find better ways to raise awareness and reduce cancer rates

How This Could Help You or a Loved One

If you or someone you care about is going through cancer treatment, Project Interface is working to make the journey a little easier to navigate — and a lot more human.

Whether it’s understanding treatment options, sharing your story, or getting connected with helpful organizations, this initiative is all about putting people first.

Want to Get Involved?

If you’re part of a patient advocacy group, a faith-based organization, or just someone who wants to help raise cancer awareness, the FDA wants to hear from you!

You can even request a meeting with the Project Interface team to share insights, ask questions, or suggest ways to support your community.
