Good Day Pharmacy Takes Prescription Pick-up Curbside, Keeping Customers and Staff Safe During the COVID-19 Outbreak - March 2020

To protect our customers and teams, Good Day Pharmacy in Loveland and Longmont has moved to curbside pick-up and home delivery ONLY. By Tuesday, March 24th, five more Good Day locations will also be going curbside, including both Fort Collins pharmacies, Greeley, Wellington, and Yuma. The Good Day Pharmacy locations in Johnstown and Eaton, have drive-thru windows and will move to 100% drive thru window pick-up, also starting March 24th. Vicki Einhellig, RPh and CEO of Good Day Pharmacy said “We have a new normal and we’re doing everything we can to keep people healthy. Limiting exposure RIGHT NOW is crucial so our teams can continue to provide medications to our communities.”

All Good Day Pharmacies are fully operational and will provide both prescription and over-the-counter needs. The pharmacies in Loveland and Longmont successfully transitioned to curbside pick-up this past Thursday, bringing all customers their prescription and over-the-counter orders right to their car. Good Day staff directly assisting customers are wearing protective masks and disposable gloves. Payment is being coordinated over the phone to eliminate contact and exposure. “It’s just one more practice we can implement in our goal to become touch free,” Vicki said. If an employee exhibits any symptoms of illness, they will be staying home. Joseph Poling, PharmD and operations manager at Good Day says, “I’m so proud of our teams and how quickly they’re adapting to change during this challenging and uncertain time. We are fully operational, able to take on new patients, and able to provide all the same medications and services prior to the COVID19 outbreak. Our customers have been wonderful and so supportive of our curbside delivery. We’ve been receiving nice emails and handwritten notes thanking us for these changes, daily.”

Using our pharmacy system’s technology, Good Day is having customers text their name and car description prior to arrival to reduce wait times. They report that it’s working great. Customers can also receive medications via the traditional home delivery service for which Good Day is known. Many Good Day customers are requesting prescription refills using the Good Day mobile app and refill tool on the Good Day website (www.gooddaypharmacy.com), while others continue to phone in their refill requests. At this time, all pharmacy hours of operation will remain the same.
