Summary:
The Health and Wellness Associate in a pharmacy setting plays a pivotal role in providing basic health and wellness guidance to customers. They assist individuals in making informed decisions about their health, offering advice on over-the-counter products, and providing resources on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The Associate collaborates closely with the pharmacy team to enhance overall customer well-being.


Daily Duties:
· Greet customers.
· Clean the front-end area and Point of Sale area.
· Receive, stock, and order products.


Key Responsibilities:
Customer Consultations:

Offer one on one consultations by engaging with customers to understand their health and wellness needs.
Provide guidance on over-the-counter products, vitamins, supplements, and other pharmacy-related items.
Offer basic recommendations based on customer inquiries.
Health Information Dissemination:
· Ask open-ended questions to best meet customer's wellness needs by offering sets of complimentary products.
Distribute informational materials, brochures, and resources on common health topics available in the pharmacy.
Educate customers on general wellness practices, such as nutrition, exercise, and stress management.
Collaboration with Pharmacy Team:
Assist the Pharmacy team with ringing customers at checkout, pulling will call prescriptions, answering the phone, and any other projects assigned by the Pharmacy manager.
Assist in identifying potential drug interactions or adverse effects for customers seeking advice.
Promotion of Wellness Products:
Provide information on wellness products available in the pharmacy, explaining their benefits and appropriate usage.
Assist customers in selecting products that align with their health goals.
Record Keeping and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, inquiries, and recommendations.
Generate basic reports for internal tracking and reporting purposes.
Qualifications:
Highschool diploma or equivalent (Certification in Pharmacy Technician or related field is a plus).
Working Knowledge of natural supplement brands and practitioner lines (Xymogen, Ortho Molecular)
An interest in health and wellness, with a willingness to learn and grow in the field.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience:
Previous experience in a pharmacy or customer service setting is a plus but not mandatory.

Physical Requirements:
May require standing, walking, and assisting with light lifting of pharmacy products.
