Each of Good Day Pharmacy’s three owners has a different niche within the company, and each of their
views complements the other two.

“We really balance each other out,” said Vicki Einhellig, who owns the company alongside her cousin David Lamb and his wife, Nancy Lamb. “And we don’t always think the same.”
Good Day Pharmacy was a finalist for the 2006 Best in Business Family Business of the Year.

The company got its start when David Lamb bought Doug’s Pharmacy in Loveland in 1985 and since has grown to nine locations across Northern Colorado. A 10th location is scheduled to open in February at the Medical Center of the Rockies.

“We’ve done a pretty good job of it,” Lamb said of running a business with his wife. “We shared in raising the kids and we have different areas of emphasis (within the company).” Flexibility is a must when it comes to working together, Einhellig said. All three owners also are pharmacists and will pick up shifts at the shops from time to time to cover vacations and other staff time off.

“We’re flexible almost to a fault,” Einhellig said with a laugh.
