Because we care about the communities we serve and the people living in them, Good Day Pharmacy has incorporated green practices into the way we conduct our business each day.
We encourage our patients and residents in the communities we serve to bring unused and expired medicine to take back events held by local law enforcement or the D.E.A. These events usually occur twice per year, in the spring and again in the fall, and are free. Another option is to purchase a postage-paid envelope at your nearest Good Day Pharmacy and mail your medications to an incineration facility for the most safe and environmentally friendly disposal.
We donate unused medications to Project C.U.R.E. (Commission on Urgent Relief & Equipment) which helps meet needs for medical supplies, equipment and services around the world. Visit www.projectcure.org for more information.
We recycle drug manufacturer bottles in the pharmacies. We recycle paper and printer toner cartridges. We encourage paperless practices where possible.
We encourage the use of reusable bags.
